Gathering the data

This is the most time consuming activity but is a crucial part of the whole moving experience. It involves identifying all the items in the home that are going to the new home and where they will fit. They have to decide what to keep, donate, sell or discard. The dimensions of each item is captured to make sure it will fit and to enable the movers to decide on the volume of packing materials, size of the truck and the number of people involved in the packing, moving and unpacking.

So that the packers and movers can identify each item photos are taken and retained in the database, stipulating where it will go in the new home. Moving Companion contains tools for identifying and labelling every item to be packed, moved and unpacked.
